2011 Sourdough Race Postponed

However, not for lack of snow~!

Due to the unexpected early retirement of Sherry
from the State of Michigan on 1/1/11,
we felt it best to postpone the race until 2012.

More trails, more adventure.

We'll keep you posted~!

I know what you are thinking...
we're talking about next year's race in April?

However, to make everything flow well,

we are working behind the scenes all year.

We have lined up overnight housing for you~!

Both Friday and Saturday nights!

The first 20 folks to sign up will have a wonderful mushing weekend of fellowship!

The Russ-Stick Sourdough Sled Dog Race

Junior Mushers

Celebrating Junior Mushers~! 

Old-school Sourdough start: 

Emerge from sleeping bag/snow shoe race to sled/harness your dogs/hook up/go!

Ages 10 - 16

Ages 10-13 race - limit 3 dogs

Ages 14-16 race - limit 4 dogs

4 mile diversified private trail.  No snowmobiles.

Check point tasks.

Friday night Family Pot-Luck.

Race on Saturday morning.

Rustic camping available.

Award presentation immediately following finish.

Idita-Dash for ages 5 to nine.

Come experience dog mushing in a unique way...in a unique setting.
